Ethernet Setup Guide
Setting up your extender via Ethernet (also known as Access Point mode) provides the most stable connection and highest speeds.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Plug your extender into a power outlet.
- Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the LAN port on your main router.
- Connect the other end of the cable to the Ethernet port on your WiFi extender.
- Wait for the Ethernet LED on the extender to light up or start flashing.
- Access the extender's web management page via your browser (check the label on the extender for the local URL or IP address).
- Navigate to the Mode or Setup section and select Access Point or Wired Setup.
- Configure your new WiFi network name (SSID) and password.
- Save settings and wait for the device to reboot.
Why use Ethernet?
A wired connection eliminates signal loss between your router and the extender, ensuring that you get the full speed of your internet connection in areas that were previously dead zones.
